Narrative Still Life

In Drawing II, the first few weeks of the semester are spent making sure that all students are at a comparative skill level in regards to drawing fundamentals. 

 

Students compose a still life at home, choosing objects to create an implied narrative. In class, we cover composition, contour, sighting and proportion, and value. Students translate their at-home still life as a reductive charcoal drawing.
